Three Maryland Tech Council Members Named Influential Marylanders by The Daily Record
The Daily Record has named three members of the Maryland Tech Council community to its 2022 list of Influential Marylanders. The honorees are Marty Rosendale, CEO of the Maryland Tech Council, Jacob Hsu, CEO of Catalyte, and Guy Filippelli, Managing Partner of Squadra Ventures.
The Daily Record annually recognizes Maryland’s top leaders for their sustained achievement, influence and commitment to growing leaders and creating positive change in the community.
“This exciting news is a testament to the extraordinary momentum in Maryland’s tech and life sciences community,” said Michelle Ferrone, Chief Operating Officer of the Maryland Tech Council. “From our new BioHub Maryland initiative to the groundbreaking innovations of our member companies, tech and life sciences are twin engines of economic growth in Maryland. On behalf of the entire MTC community, we congratulate Marty, Jacob, Guy and all of the honorees for this distinction.”
“This year’s Influential Marylanders are visionaries who are respected for being innovators, creators and mentors,” said Suzanne Fischer-Huettner, senior group publisher of The Daily Record. “Their work in their professions and in the community is outstanding, and we at The Daily Record are pleased to recognize their accomplishments.”
With support from its members, MTC achieved significant milestones in the past year. MTC secured nearly $5 million for BioHub Maryland, a first-of-its-kind initiative in Maryland to strengthen life sciences workforce development, and launched the Baltimore Regional Tech Council and Prince George’s County Tech Council to strengthen innovation in these key markets. MTC’s Technology Inclusivity Initiative (TI2) launched the DEI Pledge, which Maryland organizations are using to create more diverse, equitable and inclusive workplaces.
