MTC offers mentorship programs designed to support individuals and business ventures in the life sciences and technology industry: the Business Continuity Task Force (BCTF) and the Venture Mentoring Services (VMS) program. These valuable resources are offered as part of MTC’s vision to stimulate our state’s entrepreneurial ecosystem and drive Maryland forward, because collaboration amplifies our potential and collective effort leads to greater success.

Business Continuity Task Force (BCTF)

BCTF is a free executive advisory program that will match you with a seasoned business leader who can provide insights and ongoing counsel to help you overcome the issues you are currently facing. Our expert BCTF mentors can assist with a wide range of issues, including founder’s concerns, supply chain management, remote workforce decisions, and access to capital. As a member of the BCTF, you’ll also join a guided peer group of like-minded executives facing similar challenges and opportunities, and build lasting relationships.

Venture Mentoring Services (VMS)

The VMS program uses the internationally recognized framework developed by MIT to provide veteran executive mentors to Maryland businesses in the life science and technology industries. Our mentors offer unbiased business advice and assistance to help ventures overcome organizational and founder’s challenges, with no strings attached and at no cost. The program is adaptive, and your team of advisors can change as needed to best accommodate your organizational needs.

Who is Eligible?

Life science, technology, & B2B ventures with less than 250 employees.

CEOs of Maryland-based life science and technology business ventures with at least one full time employee and a proof of concept.

Advisory Staff

BCTF will match you with a seasoned business leader who is intimately familiar with the issues you are currently facing, and can provide insights and ongoing counsel to help you overcome your challenges.

VMS will match you with a team of mentors, all trained on the internationally recognized VMS framework developed by MIT.
