The COVID-19 pandemic has caused seismic shifts in the global economy, impacting sales, access to capital, workforce management, and more.
Now, tech and life science executives like you can navigate this landscape with the help of the Business Continuity Task Force.
The Task Force is a mentoring match program that pairs executives at small and mid-sized businesses with experienced business leaders at no cost to help you tackle business challenges and increase your sales and profitability. The Task Force is powered by the Maryland Tech Council, the largest tech and life sciences trade association in the state.
The Task Force features proven business mentors who have led companies through financial crises such as the 2008 recession. They provide executives like you practical support and guidance aid in navigating the economic landscape post-health crisis. There is no cost to joining this mentoring program.
How it Works
- Once accepted into the program, you’ll be paired with a specially-trained advisor who best fits your company’s needs.
- Terms of the engagements are open to accommodate ongoing needs of each company.
Mentors are vetted for their experience in areas relevant to your needs – sales, workforce management, access to capital, and more.
You will be invited to join a peer group to network, share and learn with colleagues facing similar challenges and opportunities.
Who Can Join the Task Force
Maryland tech, life sciences and B2B companies with more than one full-time employee and less than 250 employees are eligible to apply to be paired with a mentor. There is no fee to join this mentoring program.
How Task Force Mentors Can Help
Task Force features more than a dozen experienced, vetted business leaders who will serve as mentors and who have navigated crises and market shifts before. They can assist your company with:
- Remote business development
- Remote customer engagement
- Preparation for Fundraising

“With the constant growth, I have found the need for advice in areas I have not been trained in. MTC’s entrepreneur mentors have provided valuable and honest feedback and direction.
