Maryland Tech Council Welcomes Alex Cameron, BD Integrated Diagnostic Solutions, to its Board of Directors
The Maryland Tech Council (MTC) announced today that Alexander Cameron, worldwide business line leader for Laboratory Automation for BD Integrated Diagnostic Solutions, is joining its Board of Directors. Cameron will also serve on the board of MTC’s life sciences division, Maryland Life Sciences.
Cameron serves as the general manger for a technology-driven product line consisting of complex hardware and artificial intelligence (AI)-driven software that is transforming the way clinical laboratories operate. Under his leadership, BD’s lab automation portfolio has undergone consistent growth enabled by the launch of new technologies and adoption of new go-to-market models.
“Alex will bring great value to our Board as we strive to make Maryland the leading innovation economy in the U.S.,” said Marty Rosendale, CEO of the Maryland Tech Council. “We look forward to harnessing his expertise and insights as we pursue our mission of saving lives, securing our nation and improving quality of life through innovation.”
BD is celebrating its 125th anniversary this year, and has a long history in Maryland, dating back to the 1950s. Cameron is based at the Sparks, Maryland Integrated Diagnostic Solutions campus which houses more than 2,000 associates as the business’s global headquarters.
