Maryland Tech Council Expands Statewide Impact with Two Regional Tech Councils

FREDERICK, Md.–The Maryland Tech Council (MTC), the state’s largest technology and life sciences trade association, today announced it has launched two new regional tech councils to leverage its statewide impact locally in the Baltimore region and Prince George’s County.

The Baltimore Regional Tech Council and Prince George’s County Tech Council each seek to fulfill in their communities MTC’s mission – saving lives, securing our nation and improving quality of life through innovation.

Each council offers members best in class educational programming from local industry leaders with a focus on issues uniquely impacting that community, including workforce development, local procurement policies, professional development, advocacy with their county and/or municipal governments, and networking at large and small events.

All new and existing members of MTC can participate in any regional council chapter. Regional councils are led by volunteer industry leaders and are financially supported by regional businesses.

“We launched these regional tech councils to intentionally unite and empower stakeholders through local advocacy, outreach and growth,” said Marty Rosendale, CEO of the Maryland Tech Council. “Greater Baltimore and Prince George’s County boast a combined gross domestic product of more than $128 billion and host significant economic assets, such as leading colleges and universities, federal research institutions, and vibrant tech and life science ecosystems. We are excited to offer new and existing members unique programs that will benefit their companies, their industries, and their communities.”

The Prince George’s County Tech Council will host its Kick-off Event Wednesday, March 9, 2022 in the Sunset Room at National Harbor. The Baltimore Regional Tech Council hosted its inaugural event in February.
