John has over 40 years of experience with small and large technology companies.  His early career was spent developing high technology communications and instrumentation products, and his career evolved into CEO roles in publicly traded companies including Veeco Instruments (VECO), a semiconductor capital equipment company.  John’s experience includes company leadership during both high growth and extraordinarily challenging periods.  He currently serves as Lead Independent Director of IPG Photonics (IPGP) which is a global leader in Laser Equipment, and he works with startup companies in Horticultural Lighting, STEM Education, and Anti Fouling solutions for boats and aquatics.
