Facility Logix Highlights Firm’s Significant Growth as It Celebrates 15th Anniversary
Facility Logix, a Maryland-based life sciences consulting firm providing best-in-class customized facility solutions and novel approaches to facility design, real estate construction and project management, announced today its 15-year anniversary on the heels of completing a major project for a Southeast medical center and Maryland-based United Therapeutics. The firm served as Owner’s Representative for the new 75,000-square-foot discovery and innovation Building in Jacksonville, Florida. The facility was developed in collaboration with Lung Biotechnology PBC, a subsidiary of United Therapeutics Corporation, and includes three ex-vivo lung perfusion suites and collaborative space for conducting cell-based therapy production, as well as an innovative Life Sciences Incubator that connects entrepreneurs with resources to bring medical solutions to market.
During the last 15 years, the firm did not expect or imagine the demand and explosion of interest from biotech companies looking for consultants who have a narrow niche in the life sciences space.
The firm employs experts who specialize in life sciences facility design, real estate construction and project management, and biotechnology facility operations, and it is expanding its teams and offices. Additionally, the firm, which was established in Maryland and remains headquartered there, now has three additional offices: in Raleigh, North Carolina; Boston, Massachusetts; and Brooklyn, New York. It has served numerous local companies and institutions, including United Therapeutics, MaxCyte, Johns Hopkins University, and Paragon Bioservices (now Paragon Gene Therapy, a unit of Catalent Biologics), to name a few.
