Rethinking Your Business in 2023: Kauffman FastTrac

$15 – $100Successful entrepreneurs constantly move the needle on their business goals, but sometimes the best strategy is revisiting the basics. Stepping back is a smart way to move ahead, so together, we’ll help you build–or rebuild–your business, whether you’re starting out or growing in 2023.
With the MIC’s devoted mentors leading the way, you will shape your business idea, evaluate your offering, set achievable goals, and implement your business plan. Emerging from the program with a business model and pitch deck, participants will receive a comprehensive toolkit for achievement. Engagement is at the heart of this offering, so every question is important, and entrepreneurs and creatives from every industry are welcome.
Inspired by the award-winning Kauffman FastTrac® program, our delivery is dynamic, personal, and reassuringly MIC. Delivered over 10 sessions from January 5, 2023 thru March 9, 2023, the curriculum includes:

Move your pipe dreams into the pipeline; master the essentials and lead your business with intention.
The program welcomes up to 16 participants per cohort. There is a fee to participate. A generous tuition subsidy is available to encourage Howard County residents and businesses to participate; $25 for Howard County residents, $100 for Maryland residents, and $15 for MIC Circle Members.

Facilitators:
Russell C. Teter III – A certified coach/facilitator how has coached over 16,000 business owners/executives during a 25-year career across nearly every major industry sector, specializing in government contractors. He is currently the Director of Training for the University of Maryland’s Small Business Development Center. Russell transforms firms by developing organizations that result in faster growth, greater profits, and higher value. He is certified by FranklinCovey– the world’s premier leader in strategy execution, decision making, customer loyalty, leadership, and individual effectiveness. He is also a Certified ValueBuilder Coach, Kauffman Foundation facilitator, and partners with Dale Carnegie Training.
Vance MacEwen, MA, MBA – Entrepreneur in Residence at the Maryland Innovation Center (MIC) and co-founder CEO of Greatest Possible Good, a design thinking firm for social good. Vance mentors residents and affiliates of the MIC and volunteers through the Maryland Tech Council Venture Mentor Services, SEED SPOT, and the Youth Leaders of the Americas Initiative. Greatest Possible Good, winner of the 2019 MICA UP/Start Venture Competition, works with social entrepreneurs, nonprofits, and small businesses to align teams and executives’ actions with their visions for impact. Vance previously served as chief of staff for Montgomery County Delegate Al Carr, English teacher at a private school in Chengdu, China, and work crew member at McDonogh School. He loves helping founders find their North Stars, hone their business strategies, and win pitches. He is a certified Kauffman FastTrac facilitator.
